LaunchSign vs PageProof: which one for campaign approval?

PageProof is online proofing software: a file goes in, named reviewers mark it up inside a routed workflow, and it comes back out with a recorded decision. LaunchSign is campaign production and approval software: it holds the journey, the production status of every asset inside it, and the client’s final sign-off, between the brief and the platform you send from. Choose PageProof if your unit of work is the individual file; choose LaunchSign if your unit of work is the campaign.

Approving eight assets one at a time never approves the campaign, because the expensive mistakes live between the assets, not inside them.

What is each tool built for?

PageProof is built to get one file reviewed, marked up and decided. LaunchSign is built to get one campaign produced, checked and signed off.

Online proofing is software that collects reviewer markup on a single file and records an approve-or-reject decision against that version of it. Campaign approval software is software that records who approved which version of every asset in a campaign, when, and on what evidence, and holds the launch until that record is complete.

PageProof’s job-to-be-done starts when artwork exists. A packshot, a 30-second cut, a brochure, an HTML email: it enters a workflow of named reviewers, some mandatory, some acting as gatekeepers, and moves stage by stage without anyone chasing. PageProof’s own tooling is aimed inside the file: spell check, an eyedropper for color and contrast, a barcode scanner, automated link checking, ColorSep® separations for print, and version compare.

LaunchSign’s job-to-be-done starts before artwork exists. A Black Friday journey with 3 emails, 2 SMS, 1 WhatsApp template and 2 landing pages is 8 assets, 5 production phases each, one client, and one launch date. The canvas is the plan and the status board at once. Each asset carries its own phases (copy, design, build, QA, client review), each phase closes with a round and a verdict, and the campaign ends with a single sign-off across all 8 cards.

LaunchSign does not connect to your sending platform and does not send. It stops at the moment someone builds the approved asset in Klaviyo, Braze or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

How do LaunchSign and PageProof compare, feature by feature?

PageProof goes deeper on a single file; LaunchSign goes wider across the campaign that file belongs to.

When is PageProof the better choice?

PageProof is the better choice when the file is the thing being approved and the routing around it is complicated.

Three cases where it wins outright:

Automated multi-stage routing. If your chain is designer, creative director, brand, legal, client, and it is the same chain on every job, PageProof runs it without a PM in the middle. Unlimited workflow templates are included on the $249/month Team plan, mandatory reviewers and gatekeepers are configurable per stage, and reminders fire on their own.

Print, packaging, video and audio. ColorSep® separations, the barcode scanner and the print-oriented checks have no equivalent in LaunchSign, and LaunchSign proofs no video, no audio, no 3D and no design prototypes. If a quarter of your work is a brochure or a 30-second cut, this is not a close call.

Teams whose unit of work genuinely is the file. A CPG packaging team approving 400 SKUs, an in-house studio serving 12 requesters, an agency whose deliverable is artwork rather than a live journey: all of these are proofing problems, not campaign problems.

Two more, worth naming honestly: PageProof’s identity model is stronger, because it attributes every decision to an account it creates rather than to whoever opened a link; and if your legal or compliance team wants a signed, exportable audit record, PageProof Enterprise offers digital signing and a full compliance export that LaunchSign does not have.

When is LaunchSign the better choice?

LaunchSign is the better choice when your failures live between assets rather than inside them.

The email says shop the sale, the landing page still says coming soon. The SMS points to a URL that was approved on Tuesday and rewritten on Thursday. The WhatsApp template was signed off on day 2 with a 30% offer and the offer became 40% on day 5. Every one of those assets passed its own proof. The campaign still shipped wrong, because nothing in a file-level tool was ever looking at the set.

For agencies, the blocker is an external client who owes you a decision. LaunchSign turns that into a state with a timestamp: the client link, the deadline, the reminders that stop on their own, and “Waiting on client, 9 days, 2 reminders sent” visible on the canvas and in front of the client. Then one sign-off covers all 8 assets instead of 8 separate approvals you reconcile by hand. It is how agencies run client approvals without chasing email, and the mechanism behind how teams cut review rounds from four to one.

For in-house teams, the blocker is a committee: legal, brand and a director who each want a different thing at a different moment. LaunchSign gives each of them a phase rather than a queue position, so legal reviews copy while design is still working, and the launch is held until every required approval exists on the current version, not on the version from two weeks ago.

And for email specifically: the test send lands in LaunchSign as a version, the inbox previews show what Outlook and dark mode will do to it, so you can see which email clients to test against, and the client approves the thing they actually saw.

FAQ

Common questions.

Is LaunchSign a PageProof alternative?

Only partly. LaunchSign replaces PageProof for teams whose deliverables are email, SMS, WhatsApp and landing pages inside multichannel campaigns. It does not replace PageProof for print, packaging, video, audio or design prototypes, and it has none of PageProof’s file-level inspection tools. For a broader shortlist, see our wider list of proofing alternatives, or the head-to-head on LaunchSign vs Filestage.

Can PageProof be used for email campaign approval?

Yes. PageProof turns a test email into a proof: you send from Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, Emma, Salesforce or another platform to a unique proofing address, or drag in a .eml or .msg file. Its published email tooling covers automatic link checking and responsive previews across screen sizes. It does not describe rendering across specific email clients, so if Outlook desktop and dark mode are where your emails break, check that gap before you buy.

How does PageProof compare to Ziflow?

Both are online proofing platforms organized around the file, and the practical differences are in packaging. Checked live on 1 August 2026, PageProof has no free tier and starts at $249/month for Team with unlimited workflow templates included; Ziflow publishes a free plan for 2 users and starts at $199/month billed annually for Standard, with workflow stages capped at 1, 2 and 3 by tier and multi-asset campaign-level reviews reserved for Enterprise. See how Ziflow compares for the full breakdown, or browse all LaunchSign comparisons.

Can we run PageProof and LaunchSign together?

Yes, and some teams should. There is no integration between them, so the split has to be by asset type: PageProof for the print, video and brand work, LaunchSign for the campaign journey and the client sign-off that releases it. If one tool has to do both jobs, decide which failure costs you more: a typo inside an asset, or an inconsistency across eight of them.
